Loving the subhead on last Friday’s iNews from the Independent extract of My Bedroom is an Office (9th March 2019) - I definitely know a thing or two about small spaces and saggy sofas…

I also really enjoyed reading page-next-door-neighbour Ben Alden-Falconer’s column, diarising his process of doing up a ramshackle Victorian property in Margate - in this week’s column, he discusses how he used Osmo wax to get just the right look on his newly sanded original floorboards, which was the product that was recommended to me when we did ours, and one I’ve subsequently recommended many times myself. Sadly nearly seven years on and after a LOT of scratchy doggy talons have scraped over them, we could really do with refreshing ours, but the (painful) memory of all that sanding from the first time round is still looming large, so for now I’m choosing to overlook the scuffs, pretending they’re still the ‘charming’ side of artfully aged.

If you’re nosey like me, you can read his whole reno story here, or to see my full article online head here.
