I firmly believe design should be democratic - and advice on how to create a beautiful home should be achievable for everyone, regardless of budget (or lack thereof, as the case may be)

As the author of five books (and content producer/editor of a sixth) - with my titles published in several languages and continents - I pride myself in producing books which are beautiful and inspirational, yet practical and actionable, packed full of relatable information and ideas to suit any home or style. I’m happy for my books to grace anyone’s coffee table - but I kinda love it if they end up dog-eared and covered in paint splatters as you’ve been using them to guide you through your decorating projects, too.

Similar to my content and features production work, writing a design book is rarely just about the writing, and across the course of my six published projects I’ve donned many hats, from concept creator, location scout, picture researcher, DIY-guide-creator, interviewer, illustration commissioner, content editor and mock-up layout-concept designer.

The skills and knowledge I’ve picked up along the way have not only helped enhance my work in other areas, they’ve also led me to helping other authors create their own books, too, from working with colour expert Tash Bradley of Lick paint to craft her debut title (see below), to hosting a workshop for 91magazine which walks would-be authors through key steps to help get a book concept commissioned.
